Once you are satisfied with the quote, the next step is to detail everything in the pool contract. We use only the Queensland Master Builders Pool Contract. This document indicates all the aspects of the pool construction process and clearly outlines all the financial aspects of the agreement.
Importantly, the Master Builders contract protects your interests, as you are only required to pay for work once each stage is completed (except for the 5% deposit). It has 6 clearly defined work stages (Deposit + 6 payments)
Once a contract is in place we send your project to our engineer and submit all necessary plans & documentation to our certifier and your council with a view to acquiring Approval and a Construction Certificate. This normally takes 2 to 4 weeks* depending on your council.
We require your Lot and RP numbers (see your rates notice) and we do the rest. If you have it, a copy of the house site plan may be helpful, but is not essential.
Included in the cost of your pool,
Doug Allen Pools prepares all of your engineering and documentation for approval.
You may also require a Survey, Site Analysis Plan, Landscape Plan, Stormwater Management Plan.
It’s all part of our service so you won’t have to deal with your council. Well keep you up to date on progress but many councils do allow you to track progress of an application online.
* We know how to prepare your documentation with the detail required to have your pool approved as soon as feasibly possible so you will be swimming sooner.
